What is Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy?
Pelvic floor physical therapy looks at how your whole body moves to figure out why you leak urine, why you have pain with using tampons or having sex, why you have trouble pooping, why your back hurts and so much more. Once we figure out why these things are happening, we can fix it.
I use everything I have learned by being a Physical Therapist for 18 years to help your body move better. This might be with exercise, stretching, massage and more. I can fix your problem without having to use any expensive machines or any medication.
The key to figuring out why your body is doing what it's doing is an internal pelvic floor assessment. This is completely optional, but it does give us a lot of information. It includes transvaginal or transrectal palpation with your ongoing consent, ALWAYS!
Not in my office. I do not believe in "No Pain, No Gain". We can get you better without causing pain. I will always tell you what to expect and ask permission before we do any treatment together.

Physical Therapy Evaluation
At our first visit together, I want to hear your pelvic floor story. Then we can complete an assessment to figure out why your pelvic floor is not working like you want it to. Assessments can be completed externally or internally. Treatment will also be initiated on your first day. 60 minutes one-on-one ALWAYS
Physical Therapy Treatment
After your evaluation, we will begin to treat the problem to help improve your pelvic floor dysfunction. Treatment may include manual therapy, exercise, and education. 60 minutes, one-on-one ALWAYS
